After 2023, China's photovoltaic industry has maintained the momentum of increasing quantity and 

quality: solar cell production increased by 54% over the previous year, the number of global patent

 applications was 126,400, ranking first in the world; the new installed capacity of solar energy is

equivalent to the new installed capacity of solar energy in the world in 2022.

Data released by the China Photovoltaic Industry Association shows that: in the first 10 months

 of 2023, the output value of the PV manufacturing end exceeded 1.3 trillion yuan; in the first 

three quarters of 2023, the output of the four segments of PV silicon, silicon wafers, batteries, 

and modules has exceeded the previous year's annual output, and the export volume of silicon 

wafers, battery wafers, and modules has increased by 88.3%, 74.3%, and 33% year-on-year, respectively.

Behind the steady expansion of the scale of the PV industry is the opportunity brought 

about by the global green and low-carbon transition and China's push to achieve the "dual-carbon" goal.

"PV is already a more economical power source in most countries and regions around the world, and will

 become a supportive force in the green low-carbon transition. The International Energy Agency recently 

released a report showing that in 2023 the global renewable energy new installed capacity than the previous

 year increased by 50 per cent, the new installed capacity of 510 gigawatts, solar photovoltaic accounted for

 about 3/4. By early 2025, renewable energy, including photovoltaic, will become the world's most important

 source of electricity. Look at the domestic, as of the end of November 2023, the country's cumulative installed

 capacity of solar power generation of about 560 million kilowatts, an increase of 49.9%; the main power 

generation enterprises solar power generation completed investment of 320.9 billion yuan, an increase of 60.5%.
